Pork Chop Casserole

4 to 6 pork chops (depending on the size of the dish)

1 small onion

4 to 6 medium size potatoes

Small head cabbage

2 Tbsp. butter

1 can mushroom soup

Salt and pepper to taste

Grease lightly a Pyrex baking dish. Slice peeled potatoes, cabbage (shredded), dots of butter and sliced onion. Repeat a second layer and lay the chops on top. Pour a can of mushroom soup over top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.

Pork Chops and Stuffing

4 or 5 pork chops

3 cups soft bread crumbs

1/2 cup onion

1/4 cup melted margarine

1/2 cup water

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 tsp. sage

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/3 cup water

Brown meat on both sides. Place in a shallow baking dish or pan. Saute onion in margarine until soft. Add water, salt, pepper and sage. Pour over bread cubes. Mix well until bread is moistened and mixture holds together adding more water if needed. Place a mound of dressing on each piece of meat. Blend soup and and 1/3 cup water. Pour over chops and stuffing. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until tender.

Pork Chops and Gravy

6 pork chops

1 large onion, sliced into rings

Flour and water (for thickening)

1 Tbsp. shortening

Salt and pepper to taste

Brown your meat in the melted shortening. Pour flour and water mixture over chops and then add the onions on top. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
